GRK Annual Report 2011-2014 | Page 9 working conditions of the PhD and post-doc fellows matched almost perfectly with what they defined as a “perfect condition”. All relevant parameters that specify the lab infrastructure, orga- nization of the GRK, supervision of the projects were rated on average with a GOOD. We also asked in free-text for additional remarks and sugges- tions for improvement of the GRK. A critical evaluation of those suggested to replace the mandatory lab-course program by the new PhD-guided methodology work program for the second funding phase of the GRK. By judging all outcomes of the self-assessment as well as the qualification program, there seemed to be no need for a major revision of the program. The supervision of each PhD fellow by two Principal Investigators has proven to be valid and useful.
